Dr. Nancy LesterDr. Nancy Lester, DVM, MPH, continues to serve in the U.S. Air Force as a Public Health Officer. She provides oversight for our programs monitoring the health and well-being of the therapy dogs as well as maintaining infection control practices to include zoonotic and reverse zoonotic disease. Her canine partner, Ida, enjoys agility and snuggling on the couch. |
TedTed is a 97 lb, 7 year old German Shepard/Redbone Coonhound mixed breed.
He passed his Canine Good Citizen test in March 2015, Therapy Dog test in August 2016, and Novice Dog Trick Title in 2020. He was rescued from a "high kill" shelter in Tennessee and transported to Wisconsin as a puppy. Ted is patient, gentle and has a nose for balancing emotional changes in humans. Fun Fact: He has a white marking on the top of his head that represents a heart! |
Josey is a 2 year old Great Pyrenees/Treeing Walking Coonhound mixed breed. She was rescued from Arkansas and transported to Dane County Humane Society as a 2 month old puppy. She is a playful, curious young dog who loves to use her nose to find treats, bugs, and chipmunks hiding in the rocks around the play yard (the dirt on her nose gives it away!). Josey passed her Canine Good Citizen test in June 2021 and earned a Novice Dog Trick Title.
