Military Families Serve Too
Every important military mission begins as an operation. Operation H.E.E.L. was created to support military children and their families during and after their service to our country. Our U.S. military veteran therapy dog teams volunteer their time visiting military children in various settings by supporting them during family transitions and also by celebrating the successes of being a U.S. military family member. According to the National Military Family Association (2017) survey of U.S. military family members almost 85% of military families report there are limited local health and human service providers available to help our U.S. military families through military life transitions, especially in the area of mental wellness due in part to misunderstanding the challenges facing our U.S. military families. Teachers, health and human service professionals, U.S. military support units, and U.S. military family members are encouraged to contact us to schedule a visit!
